2013 Office Professionals Recognition Dinner
Helen P Mentos Student Scholar Megan Widmer, Skyline High
Megan is a senior at Skyline High School where she has a 4.0 GPA and is ranked #1 in her class. She is a member of the National Honors Society and is the Sterling Scholar for Skyline in Foreign Language. Her French teacher said the following about her, "Megan's compassion is just a facet in her all-around extraordinary moral character. She is trustworthy, honest, self-disciplined-indeed, and a young woman of superior integrity."
Office Professional of the Year Sandra Riches, Cottonwood High
Sandra has been working as a Principal's Secretary at Cottonwood High for the past four years. She is cheerful and is always helping others. She is a team player which makes the school better. She represents herself, her family and all of Cottonwood with class and dignity. Sandra is outstanding in helping over 100 staff and faculty, numerous patrons, students, and vendors. Sandra is the personification of grace under fire and is always committed to being professional.
Administrator of the Year Richard Welch, Payroll Director
Rich has been working with the District as Payroll Director for thirteen years. His door is always open, and he has a way of turning a frustrated employee into a gratefull employee by the time they leave his office. He is constantly working to improve the payroll process, in which he oversees. He is a big supporter of all training that has been offered by the District, encouraging his staff to have an opportunity to network with other office professionals. Rich is a phenomenal administrator and very passionate about making Granite School District a better place for both students and employees.
Winona Fuller Member Scholarship Natalie Yates, Bonneville Jr.
Natalie has been working as a Principal's Secretary for over three years, and a total of seven years at Bonneville Junior High. She has worked in many areas through out the District. She is currently serving as GAEOP Historian and Webmaster. Natalie is looking forward to attending the NAEOP Institute through this scholarship. She is a firm believer in continuing her education. Natalie takes great pride in her job and maintaining integrity.
